The Shoutbox
NES was the system all the kids flocked to the only family's house that could afford one. Sega Genesis IS my youth. I still play Phantasy Star II and Last Battle. And Shinobi II. And Alex Kidd in Miracle World.

PS1 was a game changer (*cough*). Final Fantasy XIII was my intro. Sorry, but never could go back to restart with FF7 after that. That and Soul Reaver were my games. I never picked up the PS2 as I had no time and figured I was just outgrowing games, then MWII on the PS3 changed that right up. I've been stuck in the PSN ever since.
Enough with the FF VII already! We get it. One game does not a system make 🤓
SNES and PS2 easy for me. PS2 was clearly the golden age of gaming king, so must agree it is probably the easy winner here.
I honestly don't see that console ever getting dethroned from it's position as best-selling console.
Everybody knows the greatest console ever is the PS2. So I don't know what y'all are on about.
SNES for me. If I made a list of my favorite games, I'm sure more than half of them would be from that system.
If we are doing nostalgia rankings,
Dreamcast and 3DO are in a real knife fight!
All time top 5 consoles:
1. NES
2. PS1
3. N64
4. Sega Genesis
5. Switch

All about nostalgia
Yea, I considered that perhaps I was getting a Switch at the worst possible time in its lifecycle, but then again, there is a large library to choose from and it's mostly so i can play games with my kid, so it seemed like the right time for us!
From the guy who politely declined a gifted PS5 (they were amazed I knew what it was before unwrapping it )….

We’re getting ready to be Switch people after I found out her sister has one.

Even though I feel like a lame knowing the next thing is on the horizon and I’m buying at the worst time ☹️
They're durable, too. I threw mine against the wall in anger a couple times and they sustained no damage.
