The Shoutbox
what i used to do was download episodes/movies on my phone at work via the streaming apps and then play them on my TV via an adapter. gotta say it worked like a charm for the first 6 months at my new place. except for paramount+. never could get that to work because the app was designed by trolls
The phone is essentially a wifi router.

The last place I lived I used it until they forced us to get internet.
Yeah rural area, no cable or fiber here. I think? my options are DSL, Satellite and Mobile...but I'm not sure how one uses a mobile connection for a PC.
Semi-rural area?

We pay $50 a month for FiOS, quite happy with it. We switched from Comcast at our old place and it was immediately much better, much more reliable. We stuck with it when we moved two years ago and have no desire to use anything else anytime soon.
$27 for fiber, I'm jealous! I pay more than that for DSL with a crummy 10mb download speed, ugh how slow is that.
I pay $27ish a month right now for fiber, and I know ain't no one beating that price. And I can barely afford that.

I'll be going back to using my mobile internet for everything. Gonna be roughing it.
There are pretty decent deals you can lock in for a number of years out there right now - shop around and I bet you can get into something for a good price.

Also: You are not allowed to stop logging into MoFo, so get to it! Or else!!!
that reminds me that the ACP is about to run out of money, so it is looking like i will have to cancel my internet.
Just got off my every so often call with Xfinity to beat them up over price and get my internet discounted by 50 bucks per month.
