Brian, I still have Tom Gordon sitting here on my coffee table, waiting patiently for me to finish Half-Blood Prince first! Been a weird week here (extended family member in hospital), but I will get HBP finished soon, promise! Then, TG is next....
Yes, but not to me in particular, and I haven't read them yet. Next time I go to a library or a bookstore or steal a book from a wealthy and influential rich man's library I'll look for the first one and give them a try. For now I think I'll try The The Straw Men by Michael Marshall since I have it right here and it's been sitting on the shelf waiting to be read. Stephen King called it a masterpiece. Then again it seems like every other book that comes out nowadays has his approval stamped across the cover. Then again, if you think about it....Stephen King is probably a pretty common name....hmmm.....
Okay then...

The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever by Stephen R. Donaldson.

Have I mentioned those books before?
Actually I've read it. Therefore I know you just gave me a great recommendation so I'll thank you now.
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King.

You'll thank me later.
I think I'll start a new book tonight, a book of my own choosing. Summer reading assignments be damned!
sometimes both...
