I wish they would make less contrived, cookie-cutter formulaic crap, and more movies like Exotica. Enough movies *don't* end that way, or have that kind of content. Very human.

I do dislike the "this film did not benefit from the depictions of smoking" or w/e the disclaimer is. Any real noir movie or period piece will have smoking, though. Just was a thing most people did.
