Re: Green Book (2018)

I actually thought this movie was pretty good, at least on a first viewing so far. I keep hearing about how people thought it was bad for this movie to win best picture, but was it?

Out of all...

Re: CURRENT MOVIE CLICHES

That's true. In Family Guy they say it's 18, even though on Rhode Island it is 16. And in Tokyo Drift, they tell the women at the bar to back off of the main character because he is 'underage' they...

Re: CURRENT MOVIE CLICHES

Another cliche is, the age of consent is always 18, even if it's set in a place where it's not the movies or TV, will state it as 18 all the time.

Question about the ending to The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019).

I have a question about the ending I didn't understand.

Why is it that Tyler ends up in the hospital only to be in the backseat of the car recovering? Him ending up in the hospital doesn't change...

Do you believe that Netflix is 'killing' the cinema industry?

Re: Do you believe that Netflix is 'killing' the cinema industry?

Is this why 1917 was such a hit because people with low attention spans nowadays are drawn to a movie that looks like it was shot in one take, with lots of actions and battle going on, compared to a...

Re: Do you believe that Netflix is 'killing' the cinema industry?

But even for superhero movies, a lot of them haven't been that good in the last few years that I've seen. Is there research that says they want generic mediocre worn out ones, and not really good...

Re: Do you believe that Netflix is 'killing' the cinema industry?

Well why are there so many superhero movies now? Is it because of The Dark Knight, and that movie was such a hit that because of that movie, that the 2010s is possibly the worst decade for Hollywood...

Re: Do you believe that Netflix is 'killing' the cinema industry?

That's another thing, is I've been going to the movies a lot less over the last 10-8 years, compared to before, because it feels like so many are superhero movies. Either that or action, movies, but...

Rank the James Bond films

Re: Rank the James Bond films

Yeah. A lot of people say Goldfinger is the best one, and it is good, but it feels like it's just starting out and still in it's infancy, kind of vanilla, doesn't it?

Re: Question about the gun that wouldn't fire in Schindler's List (199

Oh okay, yes that's a good theory. Another scene that felt like a bit of a fake out was the shower scene. You think the women are going to die, but then they don't and it kind of felt like...

That's a good analogy. But I feel it's not just the gadgets though they are trying to remove from Bond's uniqueness. They are trying to make him less promiscuous the last few movies as well, but I...

3. Licence to Kill
4. The Spy Who Loved Me

I'd be surprised if Netflix is, cause there are hardly any good movies on there, compared to other sources, I find. Even the library has better movies than Netflix.
