Are these female lead remakes are getting out of hand now?

Re: Are these female lead remakes are getting out of hand now?

It is pretty patronizing to women to suggest they need special movies made just for them.

Just write the same movies but with female characters.

Re: You ever find a good movie just by watching it on a whim?

Oh yeah. I keep thinking what possessed me to give "Water Lilies" a try but it is my favourite French movie (though that's not a terribly meaningful title).

Re: Good movies based on video games?

It took me about 4 separate sittings to watch The Conjuring because it's so dull.

I don't know if this counts but I am yet...

Your thoughts on EX MACHINA?

Re: Your thoughts on EX MACHINA?

I really, really liked it.

It was a refreshing throw back to the speculative science fiction of, like, the '70s and at the same time very au courant.

I loved it's cosy but disquieting...

Do you think that Oldboy (2003), was perhaps just too far fetched?

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Saw

I saw "Mr Jones".

I like how it starts sort of but it doesn't really go anyway. It's a found footage horror whose cinematography is so stylized it's hard to take it seriously because with found...
