Re: A scary thing happened on the way to the Movie Forums - Horrorcram

The Invasion is a very underwhelming version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. It shows too much too fast, and the body snatchers are just too aggressive. The fake husband taunting the wife was very...

Re: Does anyone buy tickets at the theater anymore?

Always. When I go, that is, which hasn't been the case in a while. The theater where I went to is right next to the grocery store. so I'd walk by and see if something worth watching was on the...

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (D)

Fantastic intro, great world they inhabit, but the main guy sucks all the ass of all time, and the writing around him is so dissonant it'll give...

No One Will Save You was an absolute riot. Lots of great horror mixed in flawlessly with some fantastic comedy. It definitely doesn't end where you think it will, but I thought it did a smooth enough...

It's so fun! Just a bit of a shame it couldn't be full found footage, and used music. It also reminded me of the worst excesses of that shaky-cam style, I had not seen that in a long while.

I watched a 2013 movie called There Are Monsters, on youtube. It's about a group of folks going around and seeing people being weird and turning their backs on them and such. I'd love to say more,...

What are you folks' thoughts about Honeymoon, 2014? I heard of it in positive terms, but I thought the premise was stretched to the breaking point. The climax was quite long, and it could have used...

Do y'all folks know any lesser known found footage movies on tubi or youtube? I seem to have exhausted all the easy ones to find. No serial killers or human villains, please.

I would go straight back to the 1950s for the nuclear one. They just make a rubber suit and slap the word radiation on it. Shin Godzilla, if you haven't seen it, is essentially about Fukushima.

To be clear, it is the turtle, but you don't see anything. It's basically a plastic turtle you see posing as the dead one.

There's suggestion that something happened to an animal, but you just see an allegedly dead animal without any sign of violence.

Super strong recommendation for Flux Gourmet, which I just watched, for the food category.

It's like a more abrasive, food-centric and oddly sexual absurdist comedy version of Berberian Sound...

I think The Shining is a straight up bad movie. The whole thing is completely hollow, and there's really no reason to think there's anything deeper going on. Just about anything that seems mysterious...
