A film for Dr. King?

Re: A film for Dr. King?

I think it would be a thankless project because if the director portrays him as a human being with doubts, stressors and faults, he'll be accused of assailing his legacy. The truth however is that...

Re: Favorite Godzilla Movie

"Godzilla vs. Mothra" aka "Godzilla vs. The Thing" is the first Godzilla movie I can remember seeing (I was about six or so) and I love that flick. Godzilla was still a bad and sexy MF back then.

Re: What was the first movie you saw at the theatres

I was in diapers, so I can't recall. However, the first movie I paid to see all by myself was "Ben" which I caught the bus downtown to watch when I was 10 years old.

Re: Which movie is better, and why?!

I actually appreciated "Wyatt Earp" more than "Tombstone". "Tombstone" seemed to be produced as the main feature for patrons of Short Attention Span Theater whereas the screenplay for "Unforgiven"...

"Silent Running" had a lot of themes and loneliness was one of them. It's one of those movies that'll eventually be updated but they'll put thrills, explosions, and unnecessary additional...

I really am sorry I didn't pay attention to "Firefly" until it was already gone. "Serenity" was a great stand-alone, but when someone gave me the DVD for the series, it was one of the most...

Re: What tv series or sitcom would you most like to see as a movie?

"Frank's Place". This series was too good for television. I also would have liked to have seen the failed series "Invasion" and "The Black Donnelys" made into a complete film.

Re: Gore As a Genre

I appreciate subtlety and story telling and see "gore" as a director's trick to hide the lack of them in many cases. However, in the right hands, it can be a very effective story telling element. ...

Re: Movies that made you say What??!!

Yep. I did. Strangely, I didn't feel that way in "Children of Men" when the lead died because the movie was so dark it deserved a dark ending and it would've been kind of a sell-out to go the other...
