Agreed 100%. The action scenes felt forced, and the skiing scenes were added just because Nolan wanted to them in itself - not because it fit the story. It helped the trailers and marketing, but in...

Re: Favorite Christopher Nolan film
I will say Inception hasn't aged particularly well. It doesn't get nearly the amount of talk and praise as it did on release.
It was a hybrid of a mind-bender/thriller but with big-budget action...

The plot here is unfortunate. The Fight Club plot twist has been done before, and at that point, the split personality thriller plot is not really any less formulaic than the romantic comedy.
But...

Re: What was the last DVD you bought and why?
I haven't bought any physical movies in nearly 20 years. Physical media repeatedly becoming obsolete kind of ruined the feeling of owning things. DVD replaced VHS. HD replaced 480p DVD's. Now 4K...

I like all different races, heights, body types, etc.
But I notice I have a thing for Irish girls. Pale skin, freckles, big hazel or blue eyes.

Hunchback of Notre Dame is the most underrated of the bunch. It's story and themes were perhaps too mature for children, yet too cartoonish for adults. And maybe the hunchback as a protagonist...

Movies add up to a 10. They don't start automatically start at a 10 and get deductions for each flaws.
A movie could be an 8 or 9 out of 10 - not because its...
