"Investigation....." is a good one. I didn't like "Missing" at all - there were a lot of things missing!
"Walkabout" is alright, if you are patient, as it can be pretty slow-paced. "The Bad and the...

First question. How has art evolved? I would say it's devolved. And I don't only mean movies, but music as well. I don't read fiction (I prefer biographies), but from other message boards and people...

Re: The "Would I Like This Film?" Thread

"The Commune" (Peter Watkins)... I don't want to read any reviews, so I thought I'd ask. It's a 6-hour long movie, so I wondered if (a) anyone saw this movie before, and (b), if you think I'd like...

I notice I'm constantly doing this.. Editing the movie, usually inserting myself, maybe changing the situation a bit. Assisting from my couch to the screen, back to my couch, and into my life as I...

Riten - 7.5/10

Interesting thread... I just saw a Kurosawa interview (with Dick Cavett, early 80s, I think) and I didn't know he was more popular in the US than Japan.

I gave this movie a 10/10, but after a second viewing (maybe a third?), I don't know if its deserving of that score. Maybe a 9/10, but this happened recently when I saw "Shadows...
