Re: The MoFo Westerns List

Great idea for a list and I'll be sure to send a list in.

I'd say that No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood are not Westerns. How Green Was My Valley, definitely not.

Great to see...

Re: The MoFo Top 50 Pre-1930 Countdown: The List

Intolerance was my number one. To be honest my top 10-15 are pretty interchangeable, but I made the decision to put this at number one because I remember first watching it and just being blown away....

Re: Are Marvel Movies Cinema?

I agree with the sentiment of what Scorsese is saying, in that I don't enjoy Marvel films really. In my opinion they are bad cinema.

Funny how everyone is acting as if Scorsese represents the...

Broken Blossoms is another Griffith I want to see. Interesting to see him doing so well as didn't know how well he was liked on here.

I had Steamboat Bill, Jr. as my number two. Magnificent film,...

The Great Train Robbery and Nanook of the North are both fantastic films. I had the latter on my list, probably somewhere around the middle I think.

I haven't seen Birth of the Nation, although I...

I don't think I've actually seen The Goat, although I love Buster Keaton so I will watch that later.

I watched it recently and i was blown...

A Corner in Wheat was my number 25.

I'm a huge fan of D.W. Griffith from what I have seen so far, and this film is a perfect starting point for anyone looking to explore his work.

I just watched The Skeleton Dance, very good short film. I imagine Walt Disney has a lot of them as he's certainly one of the greatest and most important figures in early cinema.

I'm guessing that...
