Everyone I know who's played it seems head over heels about Control.

I'll get round to it once I've finally finished Judgement, I think. Finally started Judgement yesterday, then saw how late...

I *think* I've solved my performance issues - It was either me re-enabling the xml edit after the latest patch or (and I think this has something to do with it) changing my VSYNC from triple buffered...

It's got a few handy features, such as a 3x speed button to lessen the grind of exploration and an option to disable random encounters entirely (which I think would completely much up levelling, but...

I bought Astral Chain, the Switch exclusive stylish actioner from Platinum. Not got very far with it yet but it's promising so far, although ultra Anime. ;)

Nah, it's still in its box. I'll probably trade it along with a console next year when the new hardware comes out. If I sold it now I'd only spend the money on something frivolous. :D

Well,...

Re: No Man's Sky

The amount of effort Sony put into publicising it, I'm not surprised it sold so well.

Heck, I'd pre-ordered it on PS4 before I even realised that I could have bought it on PC. I assumed it was an...

A sticky in the Steam discussion section would have been fine, but I had to go digging. ;)

The console stuff is their priority, I'd say - The PS4 release sold gangbusters (and now seems stable)...

Re: No Man's Sky

Good to see the fix worked, but even more mystified why they didn't patch it themselves - If it only helped people with very specific PC builds then fine, but I've seen it help people with vastly...

Such a simple fix and a vast improvement. Surely with all the patching they've been doing, they could have addressed it by now?

Re: No Man's Sky

Seem to have fixed the maddening stutter problem by a simple ini edit - https://steamcommunity.com/app/275850/discussions/0/1643171537291385975/

Frames seem to be holding even on Ultra now.

I played on for a bit last night and, unless there's something revelatory in the multiplayer, I'm probably done.

A patch has just dropped on Steam. ;)

EDIT - Still stuttering every few seconds, so I hope this hotfix was to address the crashing and not the performance.

FPS cap definitely wasn't my problem - It was capped at 144hz, my monitor's refresh rate.

Re: No Man's Sky

NPCs on space stations now move around instead of being rooted to the spot like an extra in Morrowind (2001).
