I'm a big fan of Peeping Tom (1960), and I really wouldn't mind a remake of that movie with modern technology, there's a lot of social commentary about voyeurism and morbid curiosity in that movie...

Jurassic Park. Absolutely brilliant, suspenseful adventure movie with some of the best practical effects ever made on film, combined with CGI that still holds up after 25 years.
