Usually the double spacing happens to me in the "advanced" reply screen. I have to click "preview post" so I can take care of it. I think it's something about the coding, but hey I don't know jack...

I voted lists, but a close second is to redo some of the forum structuring. But the thing I want the most is for the posts to stop doubling the spaces between paragraphs so I don't have to go back...
