Re: Television Tab
Finished watching Our Flag Means Death, pirate comedy starring Rhys Darby and Taika Waititi. It is the best thing I've seen in a while.

Re: Television Tab
Caught up with Peaky Blinders. Loved the first series, the second one slightly less so, but I think this third season has lost the plot a bit. The real low point was when the crazy Russian lady...

Re: Television Tab
Yeah, his whole character is that one joke. I get it, especially the whole 'big in Italy' idea, but it's only funny once not every single episode. Also it's just a bit awkward.

Re: Television Tab
I've been watching Upstart Crow. It's stranded somewhere between Horrible Histories and Blackadder, it's a bit obvious and the laughter track is incredibly annoying but it's actually grown on me and...

Re: Television Tab
I've watched the first 2 in this run, it really is good. I'm not familiar with these 4 plays at all, but I can now definitely see where George RR Martin got a lot of his ideas for Game of Thrones...

I'm looking forward to War and Peace too, can't remember when it is on though. Deutschland 83 also looks good from the trailer.

Doctor Who - We're a couple of episodes behind, this was the first part of the Zygon one. My 8 year old is complaining that this series is boring, and I completely see his point. Where has all the...

Re: Television Tab
Rubbish but good at the same time. I mean, it wasn't a great film, clearly, but it was a whole lot of ridiculous fun.

Re: Television Tab
I watched Humans last night as well and quite enjoyed it so far. It reminded me a bit of In the Flesh, except robots instead of zombies.
It clashes with Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrel though,...

Re: Television Tab
I have been watching Downton Abbey, usually the day after so I can fast forward through the frequent adverts. It's not bad. Written by Gosford Park writer Julian Fellowes, and rather similar in many...

Re: Television Tab
I think it hardly surprising that Sherlock has some of the Who style, being written by Doctor Who writers. And your friend is right, the second was the least of the three - I think I read (although...

Re: Television Tab
I'm sorry no-one else seems to like the new Sherlock! I enjoyed it very much. It was exactly like Dr. Who for grown ups (and more successfully so than Torchwood), but I don't think that's a bad thing...
