I've never seen the remake, though honestly, I can't see the logic in remaking this. It's a perfect film. That said, I'm curious what you will think of the two in comparison to each other.

It's so unbelievably rewatchable! I watched it on my own then preempted my wife and I's movie night to watch it again only 2 days later and loved it even more.

OK so maybe I've watched 3 movies since but special mention to this one - a strong contender for funniest film ever made - an absolute scream. A perfect comedy with insane lead chemistry, fantastic...

Enter the Dragon - 5.5/10 - ludicrous plot, silly acting, 19th Century gender attitudes, no coherent moral message, and good if not amazing fight scenes. Pluses: a few (intentionally) funny lines and...

Yes exactly. It resulted in manic characterization and a hopeless muddling of whatever themes were originally intended. A real waste of what could have been an excellent film. Mind you, I wouldn't...

Rosemary's Baby - 8/10

It's amazing what terror can be created with implication and nuance. This is a fine, affecting film; a fabulous commentary on women's agency and autonomy.

Kind Hearts and Coronets - 9/10

A wickedly clever bit of the macabre. Revenge served cold. Amazing work from Guinness. A classic.

Harakiri (1962)

9/10

A truly stunning, heartbreaking picture. A terrific script, great performances, barbed satire, twists and turns, and fights staged with real blades. Wow.

Red River 8/10. An excellent film with terrific performances by the leads. It's just a shame about the ending.
