Time Travel Anyone?
Hey!
Been grinding google for a while searching for a time-travel movie but without any luck what so ever. So a movie forum seemed to be the place to proceed. In short. A group of scientists have discovered, perhaps accidently, time travel. However, amulets are used to be able to travel back to where (when) they came from. In this case a circular type thingamagog in their lab. Very high tech it seems. In a certain part of the movie some of the travelers help a local party to dig a tunnel into a castle or fort to (I think) free someone. And that's all I got. As far as I remember its a pretty decent movie, worth watching again. It just hit me, I've been looking for another movie in the same category, but with a kinda different theme. Still time travel, but military based. Lots of killings, and one guy is trying to travel back time and time again to prevent something real bad from happening. Perhaps the time travel itself comes to mind. (yeah, worst description ever, but all suggestions are more than welcome ) Regards, Daniel |

Also, any details you can give to elaborate on the film (in color? English language?) will help. It's also very helpful to get any sense of when you watched it. For example, if you know you watched it before 2020, that can help narrow the searches down.

Re: Time Travel Anyone?
Thanks for reply. It's not stargate, Ive seen them several times. I'd say I saw both of these around the same time. Maybe 2017-20. Hard to say. And I'm not sure they were new at the time. The first movie I mentioned is adventure-ish, the second is action-thriller. As far as I remember, none of them take place in space, but they are scifi. Thanks :)

Re: Time Travel Anyone?
First one sounds possibly like Timeline (2003)
Second one sounds like Edge Of Tomorrow (2014) |
Timeline was spot on! Thanks!
Second one was wrong though. The one I'm looking for is more low budget. Could even be an indie movie but I'm not sure. Seem to remeber that most of it take place in some sort of facility, and they travel in time to that same place, but in different situations. I think the time travel device is in a room where the guy keeps running back to. The outcome of each travel is different. The stage of the movie is that blue-gray feeling of dystopic future movies. Damn it's hard to explain.. Thanks ;) |
Re: Time Travel Anyone?
Second one maybe Time Lapse (2014)?

Thanks for reply.
If you mean the spanish one, Los Cronocrimenes, it's not it unfortunately. As far as I recall, it's in (us) english. I also think the cast is mostly male, with perhaps one or two female actresses. Small crew, maybe 5-7 in total. A few more clues but I doubt they are of any help :( |
Re: Time Travel Anyone?
#2 might be the TV series, Sliders, but no military and very little killing from what I remember. They don't 'time travel'. They travel to parallel universes in the current time. They keep trying to slide back to their original universe.

Re: Time Travel Anyone?
Just forget it and watch this one instead:

Hey.
Neither Sliders or Looper I'm afraid. It's not at comedy and I can't recall any of the actors being very famous. I think that would have stuck to my memory, but I could be wrong. Thanks |

Sorry, not The Jacket either. Great movie though.
Thanks for reply. |
