What are some great modern Greek tragedy movies?

By Greek tragedy, I don't mean tragedies taken from Greek plays, but tragedies that follow the formula of a character of good birth, afflicted by a tragic flaw that leads to his downfall.

The best examples I have on hand is The Counselor, A Bittersweet Life, and The Neon Demon, sort of.

The shades of Oedipus in Oldboy make it a great recommendation for this subject, IMO.

You just described a Film Noir. Well, not every lead character in a Noir is of 'good birth' but they often have a downfall due to a tragic flaw of theirs.

I think mine is a bit more of a Greek tragedy in terms of plot, too, as well as the ‘cursed since birth’ trope, but that would be Incendies.
