2018 Movie Challenge
I used to run these somewhere else so I thought I'd invite you all to join this challenge with me. I did it last year and it was a nice way to incentivize me to watch more films and diversify my viewings.
Main Challenge
Nightmare Mode
I know something like this should have been started at January but I just joined. Hopefully you have some sort of thread or list where you can find the films you have watched since the beginning of the year. I have already been doing this since January and will post my progress soon. The way I try to do this is by using a film only once (and in either the main or the nightmare mode) and i only count films I have watched for the first time. That requires a ton of films though, so if you prefer you can include films you've rewatched this year or use a film in both modes. Most of all, have fun and keep watching films! |
Re: 2018 Movie Challenge
A new category I propose: "Watch 10 films from Mr Minio's top ten".

PS. A challenge in which members propose 10 films and you have to watch at least one of them is not a bad idea. Let me mull it over and perhaps I could make something like this. |

Re: 2018 Movie Challenge
I have a question - if I've already watched all nine Best Picture nominees but most of them were originally watched in 2017, do I still have to re-watch them in order to count them towards this challenge?

Re: 2018 Movie Challenge
i've seen them all too then, most of them in 2018 actually but i did see a couple in 2017.
|
I'm not sure why these are hidden in spoilers...
Anyhoo, I'm assuming you have to watch a different movie for each category? Because some films will fit multiple. For example: 1. a foreign language film. 2. an animated film. 11. a Studio Ghibli film. Anything from Ghibli is going to fit all three of these and probably Fantasy as well. |
Re: 2018 Movie Challenge
Added the watch a Clark Gable, etc film as i watched Night Nurse yesterday. And yeah if we can count films twice like Hashtag did i can cross of more of those.

@Miss Vicky you can count a film only once. Otherwise you could knock the main challenge off with 30 or so films.
