The NY Times and other sources have reported that actor and playwright Sam Shepard has passed away. Sad to hear this.

Actor, playwright, husband, father...last saw him as the patriarch who commits suicide in August: Osage County. Loved him in the two films he made with Jessica Lange...Country and Frances...the chemistry between those two was undeniable. RIP.

He was super-talented. Even in the smallest cameo he was memorable.
