I'd love to have an actual discussion on the movie too! It's my #3 all-time, #3.. I think TCM might be playing it because of the weather in the country, and it's the best American metaphor made on film.

Damn, haven't seen this in a long time but I think I'll be on the road all night.

I did a search, and it won't be coming on anytime soon (I think it searches the next 2 weeks)... I'm guessing you don't have DVR :(

Three movies tonight (The Late Show, The Player, Nashville) are in honor of Lily Tomlin's SAG Life Achievement Award tomorrow night.

What do you think of "The Late Show"? (never saw it, thinking of DVR'ing it)

The Late Show is a fair-to-middling noir homage which centers more on character than plot. It's mostly light-hearted but has a few unexpected scenes of intensity strategically placed. I gave it a 6/10.
