Just watched it again a couple of months ago. Man is that movie manipulative and cheesy but I love every minute of it. I laugh and cry at the same parts every single time. Great choice Seanc.

This was a really good movie, I don't think there's anything to feel guilty about here, but that's just me.

Rock of Ages
(2012)

a guilty pleasure for:

The Gunslinger45

My ultimate guilty pleasure is Rock of Ages.

Simply put, the film is S**t. It is cliched and formulaic; is is a movie remake of a famous play that does not stay true to the source material by taking major liberties with the plot, changing characters, eliminating others; and to top it off it is a juke box musical.

So why do I like it? A lot of the songs are already guilty pleasures, and other renditions of the songs I actually like better then the original. Poison? Hate the band, but the movie's rendition "Looking for a good time" I actually enjoy. Gun and Roses? Can't stand Axl Rose, but I like it when Tom Cruise sings Paradise City. And despite all the flaws, the film just brings a smile to my face for some reason.

So with that in mind, Rock of Ages is my all time greatest guilty pleasure.

I haven't seen that either but I think I'd like it.

I haven't seen (or heard of) Remember the Titans, but I might give it a chance.

I hated Rock of Ages, but Hubby liked it only for the music.

I loved Knock Knock too; I thought he was going to pick that Suspiria crap:D

A gang of teenage girls go around robbing, stealing and raping young men! Oh yeah, Ed Wood Jr. wrote this one...and it must have shocked the hell out of 1950s audiences.

2.9 IMDb and 65 minutes long, yea, that's a guilty pleasure. Looks good though.
