Don't know if it's still considered "modern," but I like The Joy Luck Club!

Not sure why, but the first film that popped into my head on this subject was In Her Shoes...Cameron Diaz and Toni Collette play sisters named Maggie and Rose who are polar opposites and how Rose is tired of cleaning up after Maggie's messes. Also have to give a shout out to Steel Magnolias.

I was just about to say I don't consider this film to be a "chick flick", I would classify it as action/adventure...saying this is a chick flick is like saying Kill Bill Vol. I is a chick flick.

I have to agree, Mean Girls is my favourite chick flick by a mile. I'm a big fan of Bridesmaids too, especially this scene :lol:

Yep, I'd say Kill Bill could be a chick flick. Not as much as Death Proof, though. That's QT's chick flick.
