Forgot this movie name - anti mass media / falling down / taxi driver
 
It is a somewhat new movie 2010 - 2015

About a guy that gets angry with everybody and society in general. Watches TV and get irritated, his neighbors annoy him etc.

Finally he sticks up for a slightly retarded guy who is exploited by the media (like X-Factor and Britain's got talent sort of shows) and wants to shut the whole thing down so he gets on the stage.

But in the final scene this retard says he is actually up for it and wants to embarrass himself as long as he is on TV.
