What happened to Danial Plainview? Spoiler!
 
WARNING: "Spoiler" spoilers below
The movie ended without a resolution. I am really curious as to what happened at the end after the movie was over? Did he go to Prison, did he get away with it? I am attached to certain characters and this Danial Plainview is on top of my list as to one of the most unique characters to date. I know we are to make up our own mind as to what happened to him but i wondered about maybe in a book it gave more detail or in a directors cut.

Most likely he goes to jail for murder or he kills himself.
Possibly his butler could be bribed to help him cover up the murder.

Butler was bribed and he drank himself to death over the next 5 years without leaving his house.
