Just saw this movie today and I thought it was excellent. I was worried that it would be a chick-flick or a trashy movie but it was actually pretty darn cool.

What did everyone else think? I hear that the MPAA is gonna change its rating to R soon...sure deserves R that's for sure.

Yoda 07-20-00 09:29 AM

Deserves It?

I havn't seen it, but by the preview I would have expected it to be Rated 'R'...was surprised to hear it was PG-13...what did it do to deserve and R rating anyway?

It would be VERY interesting for them to change the rating AFTER it's been released! :)

qslack 07-20-00 11:26 AM

There was certainly enough *bad stuff* to rate it R. I feel bad for the 4 people on a date near where we were sitting, who were maybe 12 or 13.

But it was a good movie afterall.

??????????

Mind elaborating a bit....violence, sex, language, what? :)

qslack 07-20-00 11:54 AM

Ha, this post would be R rated if I explained the movie :)

Basically stuff that should be in an R movie, not in a PG-13 movie. It was a little over the line, but overall a good movie.

Hehe

There's an interesting idea...giving each post a rating...anyone in here like to create forum hacks? :)

Certainly an interesting subject though; anyone ever heard of a rating changing AFTER the movie has been released before?

qslack 07-21-00 02:36 AM

You mean like Slashdot? Or a rating based on the innapropiate-ness of the post?

Well...I guess I'll elaborate on the topic.

There's violence: this one girl kills 3 people and one with a shovel.

There's sex/nudity: well I don't want/need to elaborate :)

There's language: the F-word more than once, and all of the other swears often.

And, I heard they were change the rating to R from my friend. Not always a reliable source of info, but still I like to believe him. Never heard of it happenin' before but I'm sure it could definitely happen.

p.s. let's put a filter which removes all smileys from Commish's posts...I want my bandwidth! just kiddin.

Boooooo!

Aw c'mon, I've only got one smiley in each post in this thread.

:) :) :) :) :) <sticks tongue out>

I want to see this movie.

The girls look *VERY* good. :P

Yoda 07-21-00 03:00 PM

Poor Little Tim...

Poor Tim, you're playing right into their hands! Many guys who would have otherwise passed this movie over will hit the tipping point and go because of the chicks ;)

The one with dark hair used to be on the soap opera "Sunset Beach" actually, she played the character Meg, who was going out with Ben (he had an evil twin)...but don't ask me how I know that. :)

Tim 07-21-00 03:33 PM

They do a good job of it! You think I want to see this move because of the plot? HAHA! :)

I also want to see Coyote Ugly. Those girls look yummy as well. :)

qslack 07-21-00 03:39 PM

They certainly did do a good job. Even though this movie might be considered a chick flick, there were only about 5 females in the whole room; 2 were on dates. The rest were male. And this is a big theatre, too!

Thumbs up on this one! It's those girls really that made me hooked on the movie.

I used to love Susan Ward back when she was in Sunset Beach, but shes a bit of a one trick pony
and her career never seemed to go anywhere after that apart from mens magazines.
