I dunno, I can almost see Mifune wanting to shout. Not so Kaneda in that sense.
'In space, you can still here Mifune emote' ;) |
Re: Alternate Universe Movie Posters
Loved these.
Anthony Perkins & Max Van Sydow were right on.. Eastwood would have been a far better Wolverine than Jackman any day.. But I have always loved the idea of Jack Nicholson, he even has the right height to play the character. Rhames as Max??!! WTF! Ghostbusters in the style of a Hammer film? Beautiful. |

=== This reminds of this photoshop contest showing classic films if they were made in Japan. Here's a jewel: http://i.crackedcdn.com/phpimages/ph..._slide.jpg?v=1 |

Re: Alternate Universe Movie Posters
We need more of these..
|
Not sure if you've seen these gp, but the B3ta site likes to go all 'alternate' on movie posters from time to time...
Linky link These polish posters are worth a look too if you haven't seen. Otherwordly, if the other world is Poland ;) |
Re: Alternate Universe Movie Posters
I have seen all of them... But I want MOAAAAR!!..
|
Meeee tooooooooooooooo! :D
Consider your self set loose on the internet ;) But if you ever need to recharge, return here and watch this motivational animated poster. (Which you have seen before ;)) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z25t-PQDn5A |
Re: Alternate Universe Movie Posters
That was nice... Had not seen that before.
But I like these posters with different cast.. Maybe we ought to make our own. |
Yeah we could give it a go :) Quite hard to match these guys' arty achievements tho. We so need a some kind of filter in Paint that makes everything look like a dirtied up 40s poster ;)
Oo, or we could always cheat, and just repurpose their work :D http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/9...byhartterd.png |
Re: Alternate Universe Movie Posters
Good idea...
I don't mind working on photoshop, but I would like people to recommend the ideas for poster & also provide references, that makes it easier for us.. instead of going to search for images online. We have a thread here called Replace the cast we could start with that. |
Re: Alternate Universe Movie Posters
I have mades a thread. Was that kinda what you were thinking?
I thought it'd be better as a free-for-all tho, as I'm not sure I'm gonna do too many myself. Better to have everyone weighing in :) |
Re: Alternate Universe Movie Posters
Yes... lets hope people participate.

Re: Alternate Universe Movie Posters
I realize now this might be a little derogatory, but it's all I could think of.

Re: Alternate Universe Movie Posters
That would have been a much more interesting movie than The Social Network.

Re: Alternate Universe Movie Posters
Wow! I think my favourite is still the space samurai :) Why not change the title to 2001: A Space Samurai ?Good job. Personally, i felt that the Inception poster could be improved by referencing to John Malkovich's mind.
