Movies people can't believe you haven't seen?

Every once in a while I get into a conversation with people about a certain movie that I have never seen and I get the "I can't believe you haven't seen that!" reply. What are some movies that you haven't seen?

The most common one that I get is "Titanic."

I was having a discussion with a girl just there who was amazed I've never seen Ali, (Will Smith)

This also brings up another interesting question. Does the societal impact of you not seeing the more cherished movies of the general public influence you to go see them just to 1) say you have seen it and/or 2) know what you're talking about when you bash it

I think it also often raises your expectations far too much

I haven't seen that one either, but I don't think a lot of people have seen it.

Certain Will Smith like Hitch and The Pursuit Of Happyness I kind of liked.

Fight Club was a big one. I recently watched it though, so it's okay.

I do it for both reasons, but also with the hope that I might actually enjoy them. I've had mixed results.

and Dasher, you need to see Gladiator. But I'm not biased or anything.

For both, actually.

Joaquin's my #1 favorite, but Crowe's my #2.

I don't fill out my movie lists in order to avoid this reaction. Progress is being made. Slowly.

Donnie Darko

People's jaws drop when I admit that, particularly among movie buffs.

honeykid 09-07-10 03:14 PM

I have more trouble with people believing the films I have seen. :D

Usually the films people can't believe I haven't seen are the mainstream summer blockbusters and the crap that people usually watch.

Are you going by his list?...
I haven't ticked many movies I have already seen, just coz I want to see them again..

eg:- I have seen most of the westerns a a kid, but haven't ticked them yet..
Until I rewatch them, I won't tick them.. just ticked High Noon this morning coz I managed to rewatch it..

Same goes for most genres..

& Honeykid!!!! you haven't seen Once Upon a Time in West??!!!
