I am looking for some information about an early 1970's TV show called Police Story, is anyone up to par on the show?

I remember having watched it on late night television in the '80s or early '90s. It was a show a lot like Streets of San Francisco (which starred Karl Malden and Michael Douglas), but it was unique in that the cast was ever-changing. There were no real main characters of the show, leading one to think that the show should've been called "Police Stories" rather than just Police Story. I vaguely remember it, but it seemed like a good enough show from that era.

I remember that Sheriff Lobo (well, the guy who played Sheriff Lobo, not the character itself) was on an episode once.
