The Bourne Legacy anyone???
 
Ok, i hated The Bourne Identity and Supremacy alot (Identity more so) but i quite enjoyed Ultimatum. In my opinion, they get better as the series progreses and i'd really like to see The Bourne Legacy released sometime in the future and maybe in the even distant future The Bourne Betryal!

anyone agree with me?

I wouldn't be averse to that if it was good. However, I feel that the Bourne series is getting on its last legs. Don't get me wrong, Ultimatum was amazing, but I wonder how long they can keep going without it becoming boring.

I'm afraid the on screen trilogy is the last you'll see of Bourne. Unless in 10-15 years Matt Damon somehow has an urge to play David Webb, and a prequel script appears shows up that seems interesting, maybe.

As Ijkky said, The Bourne Ultimatum was amazing - as I thought the others were as well, for I own them all on HD-DVD. Though don't hold your breath for more, unless you're willing to read a couple of new books.

These are must haves on HD DVD. The David Webb prequels will not really make sense (as Matt Damon gets older). The Bourne Ultimatum was awesome and they still left a little open to make yet another Bourne movie.

i went to the cinema to watch the ultimatem without seeing the first 2 and enjoyed it all the same

When Matt Damon was on Jay Leno, he told him they were going to make a new one titled The Bourne Legacy.. He said they were going to make a video game first.. This wasent that long ago, maybe half a year, and its rare films like these change that quick..

Most threads arent true without a link.. even if it is on IMDB or WikiPedia, they still arent 100% correct..

Personally I think the series is done. Leave it where it is, you dont want to ruine a good thing with too many sequels.

I still say making this without Damon is a huge mistake, but I like Jeremy Renner so I will probably watch it anyways.

We know that Tony Gilroy's "The Bourne Legacy" won't feature Matt Damon's Jason Bourne character, instead the leading man of the piece will be Jeremy Renner's character.
Today though we have a name for him, albeit only one of several he uses in the film. Renner tells Empire that "My character is called Aaron Cross, but he ends up having a bunch of different names. For fans of the franchise, [The Bourne Legacy] has that same ticking clock, but it's a new program and new characters."
Asked if it's still a part of the franchise even without Damon, Renner says "Yeah, it's that same deal, it's just a new set of agents with a different leash. It's the same tempo and pace but more expansive and bigger. The differences are pretty vast but you'll know it's a Bourne movie."
The next chapter in the Bourne saga is scheduled for release on August 3rd.

Let's see how Renner performs in "Ghost Protocol." If he does OK, I'll probably be on board.
