"The Superman Ultimate Collectors Edition" DVD Release Date: June 27, 2006 In anticipation of the release of Bryan Singer's Superman Returns, Warner Brothers will release a massive 14-disc special edition boxset of the Superman franchise Superman Legacy known as The Superman Ultimate Collectors Edition on DVD and HD-DVD. This set contains all the Superman movies, and by all I mean including the upcoming Bryan Singer directed "Superman Returns" as well as the never-before-seen Richard Donner version of "Superman II" - making it the definitive Superman film collection. It will be available for you to own this June 27th. The following information below is incomplete. Final specs of the set are still TBC. "Hellraiser III" to Get Re-Released August 8th Paramount Home Video will be re-releasing "Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth" , the third film in the cult-horror phenomenon which stars Doug Bradley and Terry Farrell (TV's"Star Trek: DS9"). The film will be presented 1.85:1 Anamorphic Widescreen along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound audio track. Further Details are below. TV reporter Joey Summerskill (Terry Farrell, Back To School) is on assignment at a local hospital when a bloodied teenage boy is rushed into the emergency room. As Joey watches, the writhing boy is literally torn apart by chains impaling his body. Fleeing the carnage, Joey follows the victim's girlfriend to a downtown nightclub, the Boiler Room. This is a great thread JRs, thank you for the hard work and time.
I was wondering what you think about the Blue ray/Hd-dvd technology and if you have any "insider" knowledge of release dates of players and media. Every place I look is different in their thoughts and dates. I know that High def Tv is an amazing thing to watch in comparison to regular tv, but it is costly. What will these new DVDs cost? Any input would be great..Thanks. |

Anyhoo, I reported DVD news for the media for over almost over a year and I know what I am talking about. The 14-Disc Superman Box Set will be put out Tuesday, June 27th - the week of the theatrical release of "Superman Returns". Along with a collaboration of a bunch of other Superman releated DVD titles. As for the documentary "Look Up in the Sky", it will be released first June 20th and then on the 27th with the collection. |

Those players are too pricy for the moment. Better to wait to see who wins the battle between the HD and blu-ray anyways. And dont forget the expensive hi def t.v. that goes along with it. :(
I like the U-571 cover there. Nice picture. I wonder how they choose which dvds they convert first to the buyers? |
