Yeah, November 22nd the 4k/blu ray comes out. That's surprising, but I think it is cool. I suspect they will release more Disney or Pixar films in the future. I plan on picking up the Criterion edition of Wall-E.

I'm pretty sure it's already on 4K, but whatevs. Glad to see they're releasing some more animated films since Criterion is generally really lacking in that genre.

Oh yeah. I saw the email they sent out on the 9th about it.


I just assumed this was an Armageddon type of situation where someone (possibly the director) at Disney/Pixar really wanted a criterion treatment (in terms of how Criterion got the rights).


I wonder how many years before it'll be out of print.

I went to the mall today to pick it up and the store I went to was already sold out!
