African American meals, church
 

OK, my (mostly Navajo) high school English class wanted to study African American literature all semester, so we did. Now they want to try to make soul food for an end of semester potluck. This should be interesting.

Anyway, I wanted to show Soul Food but it has an R rating and I can't get permission to do that. SO! I'd like to try to get (preferably memorable) meal scenes from as many African American movies as I can. Here's what I can think of:

Soul Food (just the one scene, maybe a little of the prep as well)
Nutty Professor

what else?

While I'm at it, I may as well get really good church scenes.

Any other suggestions?
