Two young teens in Egypt chased by evil faction
 

Something I saw as a kid, its about two kids who end up in Cairo and theres a scene where the "bad" people who are after them brutally murder someone in a hotel lobby while the kids look on from above.

I saw this film around mid 2000s but unsure of release date. During the death scene there might have been something to do with a scorpion killing him.

Doubt it but could the second one be an episode of The Night Manager? Only watched a couple of episodes, some was set in Cairo and it sounds like the sort of thing that would happen on that show.
