Best film of 2007?
2007 was a great year for movies. You had two movies come out that year that are widely regarded as cinematic classics, There Will Be Blood and No Country for Old Men. But, 2007 also had Zodiac, Gone Baby Gone, Eastern Promises, The Assassination of Jesse James, and Michael Clayton, all outstanding films in their own right.
So which was truly the best film to come out that year? My answer is a simple one, as I consider both TWBW and No Country to be top 20 all time movies. But if I had to choose one from the rest of the pack that was the best of 2007 I'd probably say either Zodiac or Eastern Promises. |
Re: Best film of 2007?
"Hot Fuzz" I'd say.

Re: Best film of 2007?
For me it’s easily Jesse James. Now I’m trying to think what other movies belong in it’s pantheon. Barry Lyndon, Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid. The New World...

My absolute favorite year for movies. It really depends on the day if I’d pick There Will Be Blood or No Country for Old Men.
Beyond that, I’m going Gone Baby Gone, Zodiac, or Ratatouille. |
Re: Best film of 2007?
My favorite of the year is easily Ratatouille, followed by 3:10 to Yuma and Zodiac.
And I hated There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men and The Assassination of Jesse James. |
Re: Best film of 2007?
Ratatouille is the right answer.

2- Into The Wild + 3- The Orphanage 4- No Country For Old Men 5- Superbad + 2007 was awesome |
Re: Best film of 2007?
If I had to choose one, it would be The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007).

There Will Be Blood by a landslide. Also a strong GOAT contender.

There is an alarming lack of Hot Rod/Walk Hard on these lists.

Re: Best film of 2007?
