FINALLY I hop on the kombucha train. Of course it has to be flavoured for me to get into it. |
"Let's get one thing out of the way: Most kombucha — that fizzy tea all your hip friends are glugging — is not liquor, despite it being a tea fermented with yeast and bacteria. ... But kombucha's not going to get you drunk. It contains only a trace of alcohol — less than one percent by volume." google

Supposedly pronounced "stoke", this style is lightly sweetened, and not heavily caffeinated (95 mg). It's cheaper than the Starbucks' product, and I like it better. It's available at WalMart.

Decided to try Rusty Nails. I was inspired by Sinatra (who was the greatest alcoholic if not him) favorite cocktails.
What I can say: it's cool |

It's a blockbuster of a beer, Weyerbacker's Blithering Idiot. This monster is 11%, with a copper color, medium weight and quite a punch. Great stuff.

Wtf is a mudshake? Or whatever it was cuz I can't click back without losing what I've typed again. Going back 4 more. Edit. No I'm not. I still wanna know what mudbake is. Also. Hm. I forgot =/ |

The buzz has gone. Which I'm pretty sure is what B.B. King was actually singing a'boot. |
I'm still waiting on thqt muesli...mud whatever definition btw. Im on mobile and i can't zoom.
In the meantime, this vodka ain't gonna finish itself. I just wrote a song. Though I'm suspicious on my standards atm. Pretty suspicious on them all the time tho. Weak sauce. And only way I thumbed out suspicious three times in a row is all thanks to autowhatever. Disnt correct THAT tho did you. Pompus program. Think you know jack. |
Free bump ftw!! For the horde? Working on a bottle of pinot noir atm like a pro. Them memories ain't gonna 'rase themselves!!! Before the buzz kicks in, I bought a nice bottle over the holidays up in VA but tossed the bottle before noting the brand name. Tragic. Anyone have any suggestions? Estancia pinot noir is what I buy. Stay away from 2017 tho. Anything earlier or 2018 is fine. I use it in my spaghetti sauce. Anyway. Back to the bottle.
|
I made an Old Pal. Bourbon, dry vermouth and Campari. I'd give it an 8/10. I prefer the Boulevardier, which swaps the dry vermouth for sweet. I'd give that a 9/10.

Any fans of G+T? Since the "Ginaissance" over the last 5-6 years, there's been an explosion of craft gin around the world. I had the opportunity to try many (at least 40), and my favourites are Inverroche Amber Gin (South Africa), Amazzoni Gin (Brazil), Fishers Gin (England) and Cirka Sauvage (Canada).

But the best thing I ever drank was vanilla Coke with cherry rum by Calico Jack. That drink was bomb: I'd knock out a 750ml bottle of it on a Saturday. Geez, thinking back on all this has got me realizing I was way more of an alcoholic than I ever cared to admit. I haven't even shared all the brands of beer I'd knock back. Got to a point where all I bought was tall cans of ice beer. I'd chug that swill till I was ill. My last drink was OJ. Just OJ. It was better without the gin. |

@Tyler1: I very, very rarely drink these days for fear of falling down the dark well again.
But if I go on vacation I will have a double shot of the finest tequila I can find: Don Julio 1942 or something comparable. If it ain't $40 bucks or more then it ain't worth drinking. |

Green tea without sugar and any other food. 9/10. Why not 10? Because you have to wait at least 30 minutes to drink a water after this xd

One energy drink - cheap, simple energy drink 7/10
I can´t find a picture of it that works :( |
I made a Bailey's Chocolate Martini. You can find the recipe here.
I give it a 7/10, mostly because I tasted the Bailey's more than anything else. I mean, Bailey's is delicious, but I wanted to taste the chocolate as well. I recommend adding a little less Bailey's and a little more vodka and crème de cacao than the recipe requires. |

Black beans, on the other hand, are perfect. Couldn't make it too spicy though as I was over at mom's vising for the weekend. Oh. the point... Dos Equis XX Amber with a slice of lime. It was ok, from a bottle. I'd prefer to be sitting in my favorite local Mexican joint with a mug from the tap. But beggars can't be choosers, they say. |

In a way, Talisker feels too "safe", as a reliably awesome, affordable and easy to find whisky. It's like a baseline. But returning to it after some explorations always surprises me with how genuinely reliably awesome it stays.

Cointreau 5/10
Anyone else think this is glorified paint thinners? I prefer Grand Marnier for a liqueur, but I live in Australia and because of the global situation I can't have any. :( In previous experience at least it goes good with ice cream. They all do fortunately. |

Tasted nice once started drinking but had a horrible aftertaste of incense... it tasted how incense smells anyway, I haven't eaten incense. :dizzy: |
Long Island Ice Tea. 5/5. The bartender was not playing around with her pours. Very strong but oh so yummy.

My wife is in California visiting her family. I couldn't go because of work (even though I'm off tonight). So I'm here alone drinking. Hitting the Red Stripe tonight. 5/5. My favorite beer.
