Re: BAFTAs 2019
Has this been a bad year for film?

Re: BAFTAs 2019
Depends on how much stock you put into the stereotypical Hollywood prestige films being the best representatives of a given year's overall quality, I guess (to say nothing of how every awards season has its "villains" anyway).

Re: BAFTAs 2019
I watched this last night...
How bad are these awards put together? Lumley died on her arse with all the twee jokes that drew groans from the audience every time... and the presenters of the awards looked bored. I think Ellen Page was stoned when she appeared on stage as well. |
Re: BAFTAs 2019
Nice to see Steve Coogan nominated for lead actor, I thought he gave a very good performance.

Re: BAFTAs 2019
Rami Malek needs to stop winning prices. He was good but not amazing. Anybody who really know Mercury should be able to see problems with his performance...
|
Re: BAFTAs 2019
It's also boring seeing the wins go to portrayals of real people.

Nowhere near tbh. It was awful. Richard E Grant looked embarrassed when she was talking to him. |
Re: BAFTAs 2019
I know, I was making my own joke (which even you'd admit was better than anything she said). Definitely a good argument for why the Oscars shouldn't bother with a host.
