If your into foreign cinema, try out Attack the Gas Station. That movie is the most hillarious thing I've seen in my entire life.

Glory still is one of my favorite movies, it tells a story that every American needs to hear.

So, identity, attack the gas station, and glory.

Thats my recommendation.

I recommend the following, each from a different genre of film. Odds are you'll like at least one of them.

Raiders of the Lost Ark (adventure)
Clerks (comedy)
Fight Club (drama)
The Terminator (science-fiction)
Akira (animation)
The Princess Bride (family)
Once Upon a Time in the West (western)
Apocalypse Now (war)
This Is Spinal Tap (music)
Police Story (martial-arts)
Battle Royale (horror)

Inconceivable!!

No, really, isn't it an adventure or action film? Maybe I need to watch it again or something, but I thought it was pretty bad, although very bold.

Anyway, you seem to like films about racism...maybe try Crash (Haggis, 2004).... Not great, but a decent film with some good performances.

Game of Death
Lord of the Rings(all)
Taxi Driver

I like the way you listed different categories.

Romancing the Stone...adventure
Something About Mary...comedy
A Few Good Men...drama
Alien/Aliens...science fiction
Heavy Metal...animation
Lean on Me...family (was that PG?)
MASH...war
Jesus Christ Superstar...music
Karate Kid...martial arts
Interview with the Vampire...horror

Going from what's on your list I would definitely recommend The Machinist. Seven is also highly recommended if you haven't seen it.

If you have three hours to kill and want not only a movie experience but a damn near religous one........rent Magnolia.

If you just wanna watch a great movie:

The Life Aquatic
Punch Drunk Love
I Heart Huckabees
Boogie Nights
American Beauty
Trainspotting

Lester Burnham 10-21-05 03:31 PM

Just go and rent Batman Begins.

Since you like "Memento", I think you should go rent The Machinsit with Christian Bale. It's really well done and has the "Memento" feel to it.

AA Institute 12-07-05 04:44 PM

The Day after Tomorrow - if you're into disaster movies?
Final Destination - I think that's in a similar league to the Butterfly Effect?
Frequency - intrigiung story about links between the past/present
War of the Worlds - Tom Cruise - you know what that's about :)

Have fun,
