1940's Hall of Fame II

Everyone is welcomed to join!

Hofs are a great way to expose yourself to a wide array of different movies. As the 1940's Top 100 Countdown is next, this Hof will be a good way to discover some great 1940's films.

Same rules as usual:

We each nominate any film from the 1940's, as long as it hasn't won a previous Hof or wasn't in the 1st 40's Hof. Everyone watches all the nominated movies. We post our thoughts about each movie as we watch them, which doesn't have to be fancy, just your opinion or reaction to the film.

When the deadline is up, you send in a voting list to me by PM, with the movies ranked from most favorite to least favorite. The movie with the most points wins the Hall of Fame.

As i told you i'm in and will send my nom later. Even though i've now seen enough 40's films that i could nominate something i've seen, i'm going to nominate something i haven't again mostly so i can get another one of the hundreds of 40's films i want to see before the Countdown watched.

I know you told us in advance when you were going to start this, but I didn't utilize any of that time to come up with a nomination. :facepalm:

These were the films in the 40's HOF Part 1 which i assume are not allowed to be nominated again:

Thanks for posting that, and you're right, all the movies you listed from the first 40s Hof aren't eligible.

These aren't eligible as they have already won a Hof:

Casablanca, winner of 12th Hof
The Best Years of Our Lives, winner of 9th Hof

You know, I actually considered nominating Pursued until I looked at the Part 1 thread. I decided on a different movie from the same director, Raoul Walsh. I hope you all like it

Sorry for multi-posting but i just want to point out again as i did in the thread when it happened, Sean posting A Shadow of a Doubt instead of Shadow of a Doubt bugs the crap out of me. :D

Hope you nominated something i've been wanting to see from Walsh, if it wasn't and it was the other 40's film from him i've seen then that's cool too i'd like to give that another shot.
