Seasons 5-8.

I thought Dexter jumped the shark from episode 1 of season 7, but I kept waiting to find out just how wrong I'd got it and for it to pull itself around for one last hurrah. Sadly, what we got was season 8, though it has to be said, I liked it more than seasons 6 and 7.

For that last scene, was I the only one to have It's A Long Road playing in my head over it?

For me,each season was worse than the previous one.I was blown away by the first one and then it just became less and less good.I think with Trinity it started to be more bad than good. :)
Ok,I'm out of this thread since I haven't seen the final season.
