Unanswered: Hi ppl, I hope you can help me! :(

This is a very vague description. But I remember watching a movie on the Family Channel (in Canada) in the late 90s and remember them playing this movie quite often. I believe the main characters were a boy and a girl, and they befriended a dragon (I think), similar to the dragon in the NeverEnding story? They would ride the dragon around, but I also recall them riding in some sort of roller coaster car type of thing that was super fast to go to different dimensions/worlds? I'm pretty sure this was a made for TV movie, and I'm fairly certain the actors had Australian or British accents. If anyone has any idea of what I'm talking about, please let me know!
