Spell it like it sounds: Onomatopoeia

One of the weird rules of the English language is "i" before "e" except after "c" ... and weirdly enough the word "weird" is exempt from the rule (and, apparently so is "onomatopoeia")!

It's not the only word ending in -oeia. And I'd imagine it's etymological.
