Best Movie Bad-Ass

Such a tough call, I know...but try to narrow it down:

* Tyler Durden - Fight Club
* Jules - Pulp Fiction
* Chili Palmer - Get Shorty (hey, he didn't back down to anyone)

LordSlaytan 01-06-04 07:43 PM

My opinion still hasn't changed since I posted an answer in the other thread identical to this one. :)

Snake Plissken

Loner 01-06-04 07:49 PM

Are we talking kicking-ass or killing people.

Kicking ass; Charles Bronson(Chaney) in Hard Times.

Killing people; Toshiro Mifune(Sanjuro) in Yojimbo.
The fact that he's using a sword instead of a gun made it an easy pick for me.

led_zeppelin 01-06-04 07:57 PM

Top 5

5. Indiana Jones- yeah he's a good guy, but c'mon. . .not very many people are better at Indy in anything.

4. Gimli-another good guy but in LOTR, nobody is braver or stronger (except for Boromir) than the dwarf.

3. Boba Fett-not much screentime, but can still whup up on a bunch of people.

2. Tyler Durden-just all around bad-anus. The toughness in this guy is just beyond belief, and he's played by Brad Pitt. (and edward norton)

1. Darth Vader-the baddest of the bad. You don't get much worse than this. I mean this guy is ALMOST unstoppable. My name is Luke and my entire life I've had to hear, "Luke, I am your father."

Jackie Malfoy 01-06-04 08:08 PM

Because I can't think of one right now I am going to steal one from you!

I can't think of any more because I am not really sure what you meant so that is all for now I guess!
See you around and remember Fight Club roxs!JM  :p ;) :D :)

Beale the Rippe 01-06-04 08:30 PM

I like Slay's choice a lot. I can never have a definite answer here...but...at the moment I can narrow it down to two:

Hannibal Lecter

and

Father Merrin

Sedai 01-06-04 08:56 PM

Jule from Pulp Fiction for sure....

I also think Gemma from Ninja Scroll was one bad ass dude. Come to think of it, there is a slew of badasses in that film. A Veritable Plethora of badass-ness so to speak.

;)

Cheers

Yeah, I was gonna say Darth Vader and Han Solo as I sit hear listening to the Imperial March on full volume and contemplate my conquest of the galaxy. Boba Fett, though, is just plain awesome.

Er...

I'm liberally interpret the meaning of 'bad ass' with the next few:

Alex from A Clockwork Orange

Feyd-Rautha from Dune

Javert from Les Miserables

Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean

James Bond from ... James Bond

Agree totally with the Star Wars Stuff. Never seen Clockwork, but I hear it's a great film. James Bond is cool, but Indy is better IMO. Sean Connery is unbeatable. No other James Bond comes close. POTC has a bunch of major baddies. All the pirates, Jack, and Barbosa. All are cool. I don't really like Orlando Bloom that much, so I can't say he's a bad-anus.
