MI6 exclusively revealed on Saturday that Australian actress Rose Byrne was screentesting for the character of Vesper Lynd and was the hot favourite to land the role, and today the Mail On Sunday has reported the 26 year-old has secured the part..... (For those of u who have no idea who this chick is, she played the love interest of brad pitt in Troy)

The bond villans are being played by some french actors.
"French actor Simon Abkarian was reported to have screentested for the role of the villain yesterday by AlloCine. Today French newspaper Le Parisien has confirmed he has been cast in the forthcoming James Bond film Casino Royale.

Movie site AlloCine reported Abkarian had screentested in London for the role of the villain Demetrius. Le Parisien has now confirmed that Abkarian was signed in favour of fellow French actor Michael Youn"

Interesting to see how the new bond (Daniel Craig) will do in Casino Royale. Personally I believe dropping Pierce Brosnan from the role was the biggest mistake.

So, Daniel Craig, may get the accent down from what I've seen in Munich. Certainly a flashback to Roger Moore with the hair style, way to go.

Yeah, it was the title of a 1967 spy spoof starring David Niven & Peter Sellers. But I'm pretty sure it's also Ian Fleming's original Bond novel.

It's being based on Ian Flemmings novel...

I agree... I also think that if they were determnined to replace Brosnan there were other choices I would have preferred they make.

As for Thandie Newton as a Bond Babe... I think she'd be great!
