What's your favourite John Carpenter piece, and why?
 

I'm a month late for John Carpenter's birthday, but that's okay - I recently found out about his debut album Lost Themes, and I think it was fantastic. Here's one of my favourite songs from the album:

The theme songs to both Assault On Precinct 13 and Escape From New York are badass; both of them really set the tone for what follows in both films.
