So glad to see this place thriving
Wow ... what a trip. It's been years since logging in, but after seeing an Oscar Pick email from admin, I thought I'd give it a look.
Glad to see some familiar users around here as well. Looking forward to getting back into the conversation! |

Hey, good to see you again! :)
Yeah, I send out an email or two each year (usually about the Oscars), but a lot of the emails were getting blocked and I just tweaked some server stuff, so I imagine a lot of longtime users are hearing from us for the first time in awhile this morning. Neat. :) |

We've yet to have a year where somebody doesn't say it was busier/better/whatever a few years ago. So it goes.

We used to have more games, too, and I'm sure at some point someone came by and saw that the kinds of games that used to be so busy weren't any more, and came to the same conclusion, even though people were just playing different games. I don't take offense to it or anything, but it's just a constant in the life of any forum, that people use it differently and the only version that feels good/right/active/whatever to someone is the way it was used when they first got into it. |
Join us in the shoutbox! It’s almost always bumping in there.
Cue the techno music |

Jeez, second only to a forum that apparently talks a lot of TV shows with their movies, and then mainly equipment... and friggin' Reddit?!...

Re: So glad to see this place thriving
We already knew we were awesome. Time the rest of the internet knew ;)
EDIT: Maybe that's why this place has been crawling of late? |

Feedspot has a team of over 50 experts whose goal is to discover, rank and categorise popular blogs and podcasts. We have curated over 250,000 popular blogs and categorised them in more than 5,000 niche categories and industries. With millions of blogs on the web, finding influential, authority and trustworthy bloggers in a niche industry is a hard problem to address. Our experience leads us to believe that a thoughtful combination of both algorithmic and human editing offers the best means of curation. There are several ways we discover new feeds. Publishers submit their blogs, podcasts or youtube channels on Feedspot using the 'Submit' form at the top of this page. We have a research team who does extensive research on google and social media platforms to discover new influencers. Feedspot has in-house media monitoring tools for discovering bloggers in several niche categories. Our expert editorial team reviews each blog before adding them to relevant category list. Ranking is based on Relevancy Industry blogs (those not favoring a specific brand) are given higher rank than blogs by individual brands(who often tend to promote their own products). Blog post frequency(freshness) Social media follower counts and engagements Domain authority Age of a blog Alexa Web Traffic Rank and many other parameters. We routinely remove inactive blogs and those which are no longer relevant to a given list. List is updated as we receive new blog submissions and re-ranked every few weeks. We also take direct feedback from users to make changes to the lists. If you have any feedback or would like to get in touch with our editorial team, you can email us at [email protected] No idea who these "experts" are... :p |
