Unanswered: A Romantic Ghost Story (I'd seen it around the year 2000)

I don't think its an American style made movie. I didn't recognized any of the actors or the scenery back then. It was around the year 2000 when I seen it on one of the movie channels on TV.

It takes place out in the countryside where there's an old manor like house. He stops in front of it, knocks on the door when he is invited in. The family seems a little eccentric a grandmother and the parents of two daughters about his age, he has a playful romantic affair with them both. One girl he likes more, only to find out at the end when he goes to leave that the house had rotted away into ruins and they were ghost all along.

I appreciate it and thank you in advance for any help you may offer, I've been searching for it ever since and I would like to find it again.
