If you've ever wondered what the Hall of Fames are all about...and have never joined one, then you're a Hof virgin and this Hall of Fame is for you! This will have relaxed rules, with hopes of getting people more involved in the Hofs:)

So what's an Hof? It's an event unique to MoFo where a group of people each nominates a movie that they think is special or amazing in some way, with hopes that it will be inducted into the MoFo Hall of Fame, the actual building is still under construction;)
but you get the idea.

And what do we do in an Hof? We all pledge to watch all the movies that have been nominated, unless you've seen them before. There's plenty of time to watch them, so no worries. Have fun talking about the movies, and after you watch one you post your thoughts about it. Then we vote, I tally up the points and one movie is declared the winner of the Virgin Hall of Fame.

What kind of movie can I choose? You can choose any movie that you believe in, as long as it hasn't won any other Hofs and is under 3 hours and not currently at the theaters.

This is a great way to get know your fellow MoFos:p

Thanks Yam, I love Hofs and there a kicked back way of having fun and getting to know people, without spending a whole lot of time.

So right now be thinking of your movie nomination, but don't post it, as we keep them secret until the Hof starts and then I reveal all the movie nominations...So just PM the movie title to me:p

A bit more about the Virgin Hall of Fame:

This will be laid back, you can go at your own pace. You just watch the movies, and if you've seen any of the movies before and can still remember them pretty well, then you don't have to even watch it. It's easy!

Just post your thoughts on the movies as you watch them. You don't have to be fancy or write a formal review, just regular discussion talk:)

How long do we have to watch the movies?

There's plenty of time to watch the movies. The total length of the Hof will be around 1 week of time for each movie. So if there's 5 people, that's 5 movies and the Hof will last for 5 weeks...But if someone needs more time to finish, no problem it can be extended.

Yup, those are all the past winners of other Hofs. We've done the Hall of Fames for a long time here at MoFo. I think Hofs are one of the coolest things at MoFo!

BTW, East of Eden (1955) was my nomination in the 10th Hof:D

I was thinking about including that but I thought that people would be less likely to nominate documentaries so I didn't bother.
