I'm not really a 'new movie guy'. I've only seen 9 films from 2022 compared to 40 from 2021. But even then, this year feels a lot weaker. I haven't yet seen a single great film from this year but watched four very good ones.

Honestly, I've only seen maybe 10 movies of 2022 (I don't have much faith in new movies, I prefer to wait until they've been vetted a while), but those are the only 3 I would rank so far.
I am looking forward to Everything, Everywhere, All At Once, 3,000 Years Of Longing, The Northman, Crimes Of The Future, Marcel The Shell With Shoes On, Pearl, and, in a big way, Moonage Daydream. I just haven't been motivated to do so.
