Free Movie Links

In case you want to watch a movie, but can't find a copy of it anywhere, feel free to ask for help in this thread to see if anyone has a link to it. I'm generally pretty good at finding movies online and I'll be happy to help (and I'm sure other people will be as well).

Note: Do NOT post any links in this thread. Links must be shared via DMs only.

If you have Comcast, I recommend automatic recordings of directors, actors, writers, etc...

Also, if you just google a movie, the results will show up where you can watch them.

Good idea for a thread @SpelingError and kudos for asking Yoda first...He's the coolest for letting us do this by Private Messages.

I like that you posted SENT for when a link is sent to someone, that way other people don't spend time looking for links that aren't needed.

I'm always glad to help out with 'Free' links when I can!🙂

I found a few links to it, but they were all at the same level of quality as the youtube version, or worse. Since it's an obscure release, that might be the best version of the film available.

I'll look for the rest of the movies later tonight when I'm off work. I did look for (Man Facing Southeast) and found a link in it's original language Spanish, so subtitles would have to be added, not hard to do.

Yeah, I found it on YouTube (without subtitles though). Admittedly, I don't have a lot of experience with downloading movie subtitles, but if you're good at it, that'll be helpful.

Just search in google for the name of the movie + subtitles and you'll find a site that has it (and has subs for lots of other movies as well)

Yeah, I've done that before. Sometimes though, the subtitles don't match up with the movie and I need to either trim some time off of the film or add in a black screen at the start to match them up. That can be time consuming sometimes.

Yeah I've experienced that many times. Might be a coincidence, but it has only happened once in the last year when I've seen (a lot of) movies with "external" subs, so I'm starting to think that this is something that for some technical reason is less of an issue with subtitle files than it used to be, maybe due to a new technique for time aligning them from the get go. Or maybe some media player AI update can handle this to some extent, who knows. Also, there will often be a number of up votes or down votes associated with the file in question where you can choose the one with the most up votes.

Looking for two lesser known films by Park Chan-wook

I’ve been looking for the film “Trio” and “Cut”, both in English subbed versions.

They both have under 1000 ratings on letterboxd so they’re pretty hard to find, if not damn near impossible.

-Youtube: I can normally find full movies before the 50's, and they do have their selection of free ones atleast through the app.

-PlutoTV: its pretty much a cable/satellite tv service that repeats content, but there's a lot to choose from.

-Tubi: I really hate the fact that the switch movies while watching something, but overall a decent service for what you pay for.

For some strange reason, it's virtually impossible to track down any version of Apocalypse Now online other than the Redux version (unless I'm looking in the wrong places lol). I checked again anyways, but sadly, nothing changed. If anyone else knows of a way to track the film down though, I'd like to know, too.

I feel bad to come back empty-handed two times in a row, but I wasn't able to track this one down either. All the sites I found the short film on were the Popcorn Time links you mentioned where you have to make an account to watch the film.

baise moi is on there too as well as some other shocking films. Eventually I will get them.

Himlen Falder is out of stock or I would already own it.

The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie would be nice. I found it on archive.org, but without the subtitles(I made a whole thread on that, and kind of like doing it). I downloaded subtitles, but no matter where I moved them, they would never be in perfect sync with the movie. I did it with Spirit of the Beehive and it worked out perfectly. And The Obscure Object of Desire too if necessary.

I can't find that one anywhere. Maybe someone else has a link to it.

@SpelingError do you mind if I try your skills for a film I can't seem to find anywhere for free?

It's called The Sweetest Mango (2001)
IMDb link: here

I can't find a free link anywhere. All I can find is a link where you can rent it for $3.99 if you're okay with that.

Re: Free Movie Links

(That's a repost, I originally published that message in the non appropriate thread)

I know it's generally not permitted here, but I'm trying anyway.

I have a project with my girlfriend of watching the most interesting movies possible per year. Now we are at 1940 and there are some films we want to see, but cannot find. If I can pay online to rent these films, it would be fine by me, it doesn't have to be free.

I have tried online, at my local libraries, with no success. So if some of you know where to find any of these 2 films, send me a message or tell me, I'd highly appreciate it.

The 2 films are: The Mortal Storm and Remember the Night (I also leave the IMDB ID for both films)

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0032811/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0032981/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

Thanks!

Anyone know where I can find Charles Rondeau's 1960 movie The Threat? With Robert Knapp?
